Still, there is Summer… it’s been the fastest summer ever, but September has brought us a few hot days perhaps so that we’ll long for the cooler weather ahead. Here, some images from a recent shoot, a deliciously simple salad of heirloom cherry tomatoes, avocado and French feta cheese, perfect for warm, lazy cooking days.

To put this salad together…
Heirloom Cherry Tomato & Avocado Salad with French Feta
Ingredients
1/2 pint heirloom cherry tomatoes, halved
1 avocado, cut in chunks the same size as halved tomatoes
1 T olive oil, extra virgin (the best quality you have)
1 lime juiced, use 1/2 or more to taste
cilantro, a few sprigs
sea salt
white pepper
4 oz French feta cheese, sliced thinly (French feta is a mild and creamy style cheese.)
Combine all the ingredients except the feta cheese. Season with salt and pepper, toss to marry all the ingredients. Finish the salad with thinly sliced feta. Enjoy.
